KRAMPUS (legend) - Known in the Alpine regions of Europe as the “anti-Santa Clause”, they say he comes on the evening of December 5th, a night called Krampusnacht. Whereas according to legend, Santa Claus was said to reward well-behaved children with gifts, Krampus would punish the misbehaved children. If you were lucky, you might just get swatted with a birch branch. If you were not, you could wind up in the sack. After that, your fate would be anyone’s guess.
